Freedom from stretch marks

Freedom from stretch marks

Overview
Stretch marks are a type of scars that develops when our skin stretches or shrinks quickly. It is caused by the sudden stretching of the dermal layer of the skin, mostly during pregnancy. They usually appear as long and narrow streaks or stripes along the skin, which is why some people call them “tiger stripes.” These are also called striae & are indented streaks that often appear on the abdomen, breasts, hips, buttocks and thighs. These marks aren’t painful or harmful, but some people feel upset about the way they make their skin look.
Stretch marks fade with time; however, treatment can make stretch marks fade & may make them less noticeable more quickly.

How to get freedom from stretch marks?
Treatment for Stretch Marks

Skin Resurfacing- ResurFx
The Lumenis ResurFX is the latest in non-ablative, fractional laser technology to improve stretch marks, skin discoloration wrinkles, acne scars. Non-ablative means it does not destroys skin cells rather it stimulates the skin to develop collagen without harming or ablating any skin while fractional means it is only affecting a fraction or percentage of the skin. As collagen increases, the skin looks tighter, more even, and more youthful.

Microneedling Radio Frequency
Microneedling RF device is outfitted with super fine needles by stimulating tissue near the skin’s surface, encouraging it to heal. The damaged (elastic) skin will eventually fade by restoring collagen, a natural protein found in connective tissues and elsewhere in the body. This particular device also uses radiofrequency to heat the deeper dermis, which can increase the effects.

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) Microneedling
Platelet-Rich Plasma is a powerful healing component. PRP microneedling is swapping Vitamin C that’s used in traditional microneedling with Platelet-Rich Plasma. Your own blood is processed so that only the enriched cells (PRP) remain, and then it’s injected into stretch marks. It can provide one of the best results for stretch marks (probably the most effective treatment for stretch marks).

Chemical peels
Chemical peels lighten the skin, but they have little impact on pronounced stretch marks. They work by removing the outer layer of skin cells, leaving smoother, softer skin behind. At the same time, these treatments stimulate the body’s own healing process, compelling the body to produce more collagen to support the underlying skin structure.
